The aim of this presentation is to give participants the underpinning knowledge and skills to safely and successfully marshal vehicles around building sites by using Nationally Recognised signals from HSE publication L64

Any persons who are required carry out banksman duties safely on construction sites

Codes of Signals & verbal communication

Management of vehicles through risk assessment

Identifying the Hazards & considerations for vehicle movements

When reversing cannot be avoided

Traffic routes & vehicles and their loads

Example site traffic management plan

Banksman duties and recognised signals

Radio communications and practical radio use

Safe working practices checklist

Certificate of competence issued on successful achievement of both written and practical

assessment. Maximum 12 persons.
