Course Description
The 2-day Water Jetting Association (WJA) City & Guilds accredited course covers the mandatory Safety Awareness course combined with the Drain & Sewer (DSP) module. The Safety Awareness course covers all main areas of water jetting operations and safety, while the DSP module covers theory, practical application, and the use of drain and sewer jetting equipment, inclusive of the use of jetting guns up to 275 bar (4,000 psi).
This course is recommended for candidates who operate within the drainage sector.
Course Aims
This course is based on the Water Jetting Association's Blue "Code of Practice for the Safe use of high pressure and ultra-high pressure water jetting equipment", and the Red "Drain and Sewer Code of Practice". It is a practical and theory-based training course containing hands-on training and direct observations to safely operate water jetting equipment together with classroom training and assessment. The course is designed to provide candidates with knowledge, and hands-on experience on the correct use of water jetting equipment together with safety checks on hoses, nozzles, jetting lances, water filters, safety pressure relief systems, and other associated equipment.
Who Should Attend?
Both experienced operatives and those new to the industry who will be carrying out high pressure water jetting for the purpose of drain/sewer cleaning, and where candidates will be using jetting guns and lances up to 275 Bar.
